The Bachelor of Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Sciences) program at saba University aims to provide the student with broad and diverse information and skills related to the formulation, examination, quality checking and manufacturing of pharmaceuticals on a larger scale, ending with the marketing of the final pharmaceutical product, in addition to its essential role in correct pharmaceutical practice.
Therefore, Spa University has been keen to equip all the laboratories that help pharmacy students in acquiring the basic skills necessary for this. Out of interest in the fields of health and education, and in order to improve the health and treatment services provided, Saba University was keen to establish qualitative programs for the Department of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.). The Pharm.D. program is one of the newly developed programs in pharmacy and is considered a unique and distinguished program in the Arab and non-Arab region and was developed according to the latest methods in pharmacy education, which is one of the developments that took place on the traditional programs of pharmacy (Bachelor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences). ). The student obtains the degree of Doctor of Pharmacist after completing five academic years in addition to the year of internship (clinical training). The graduate of this program is distinguished by his theoretical and practical studies and experiences, his ability to play an effective role within the medical team in terms of understanding the medical diagnosis, choosing the appropriate drug and the appropriate dose, and finding other drug alternatives in case of need. He also has the ability to communicate with the medical team and the patient, and this distinguished role of the college graduate will be reflected in providing better health care and service, reducing drug misuse, as well as reducing the cost of medical treatment. The college graduate is also qualified to practice the profession of pharmacy in all its forms and in all its other fields, such as working in pharmacies in public and private hospitals, as well as in the fields of drug manufacturing and development, and scientific and academic research centers interested in pharmaceutical sciences.
